What To Expect

Victory Baptist Church is a friendly family of Christians that seeks to honor God and His Word in everything that we do. When you arrive for a church service, you will find that we do not have a parking lot. You will need to find a spot to park somewhere on Jefferson Street, or around the corner, but you won’t typically have far to walk. If you need a ride to church, please contact the church to request a ride.

You will quickly find that we have an old church building. The big green doors in the front can be a bit intimidating, but when you walk in the doors, you will simply be in our lobby. Typically, somebody will be there to greet you. Feel free to find a place to sit in the sanctuary and make yourself comfortable.

The worship service will typically last about 75 minutes. It will typically include scripture reading, prayer, congregational singing, an offering, special music, and a message from the Bible. There is no obligation nor expectation for you to give in the offering.

Our music can be described as, for lack of a better term, traditional. We believe that our worship of God should be a very different experience from what you might experience in the world’s entertainment. We want you to enjoy the worship service, but our objective is to please the Lord, not to entertain.

Lastly, many people want to know how they ought to dress when they come to a worship service at our church. There is no dress code at Victory Baptist Church. You will find that many of our people dress up in a more “traditional” Sunday attire. While we want to represent ourselves the best we can when we worship the Lord, the Lord is more concerned with the condition of your heart than the condition of your clothes. We have people visit our church in a wide range of attire.

If you have any questions, please contact us.
